A vulnerability, which was classified as critical, has been found in SICK AG InspectorP61x and InspectorP62x (the affected version unknown). The authentication process to the web server uses a challenge response procedure which inludes the nonce and additional information. This challenge can be used several times for login and is therefore vulnerable for a replay attack.
The weakness was shared by Manuel Stotz. The identification of this vulnerability is CVE-2024-11022 since 11/08/2024. The exploitation is known to be difficult. The attack may be initiated remotely. No form of authentication is needed for a successful exploitation. Neither technical details nor an exploit are publicly available.
