A vulnerability, which was classified as problematic, has been found in imageVue 0.16.1. Affected by this issue is some unknown functionality of the file admin/upload.php. The manipulation of the argument path with an unknown input leads to a path traversal vulnerability. Using CWE to declare the problem leads to CWE-22. The product uses external input to construct a pathname that is intended to identify a file or directory that is located underneath a restricted parent directory, but the product does not properly neutralize special elements within the pathname that can cause the pathname to resolve to a location that is outside of the restricted directory. admin/upload.php in imageVue 16.1 allows remote attackers to upload arbitrary files to certain allowed folders via .. (dot dot) sequences in the path parameter. NOTE: due to the lack of details, the specific vulnerability type cannot be determined, although it might be due to directory traversal.
