Summary
A vulnerability described as problematic has been identified in LinPHA up to 1.0. This affects an unknown function of the file docs/index.php. The manipulation of the argument Language results in path traversal. This vulnerability is known as CVE-2006-0713. No exploit is available.
Details
A vulnerability, which was classified as problematic, was found in LinPHA up to 1.0. Affected is an unknown code block of the file docs/index.php. The manipulation of the argument language with an unknown input leads to a path traversal vulnerability. CWE is classifying the issue as CWE-22. The product uses external input to construct a pathname that is intended to identify a file or directory that is located underneath a restricted parent directory, but the product does not properly neutralize special elements within the pathname that can cause the pathname to resolve to a location that is outside of the restricted directory. This is going to have an impact on integrity. CVE summarizes:
Directory traversal vulnerability in LinPHA 1.0 allows remote attackers to include arbitrary files via .. (dot dot) sequences in the (1) lang parameter in docs/index.php and the language parameter in (2) install/install.php, (3) install/sec_stage_install.php, (4) install/third_stage_install.php, and (5) install/forth_stage_install.php. NOTE: direct static code injection is resultant from this issue, as demonstrated by inserting PHP code into the username, which is inserted into linpha.log, which is accessible from the directory traversal.
