A vulnerability, which was classified as problematic, has been found in Teca Scripts guestex 1.0. This issue affects some unknown functionality of the file guestex.pl. The manipulation of the argument url with an unknown input leads to a cross site scripting vulnerability. Using CWE to declare the problem leads to CWE-80. Cross-site scripting (XSS) vulnerability in guestex.pl in Teca Scripts Guestex 1.0 allows remote attackers to inject arbitrary web script or HTML via the url parameter.

The weakness was presented 02/11/2006 by Aliaksandr Hartsuyeu (Website). The advisory is shared at evuln.com. The identification of this vulnerability is CVE-2006-0776 since 02/18/2006. The attack may be initiated remotely. No form of authentication is needed for a successful exploitation. It demands that the victim is doing some kind of user interaction. Technical details as well as a public exploit are known. MITRE ATT&CK project uses the attack technique T1059.007 for this issue.
