Details
A vulnerability classified as critical was found in Mantis up to 1.00rc4 (Bug Tracking Software). This vulnerability affects some unknown processing of the file manage_user_page.php of the component Web Access. The manipulation of the argument sort with an unknown input leads to a sql injection vulnerability. The CWE definition for the vulnerability is CWE-89. The product constructs all or part of an SQL command using externally-influenced input from an upstream component, but it does not neutralize or incorrectly neutralizes special elements that could modify the intended SQL command when it is sent to a downstream component. As an impact it is known to affect availability. CVE summarizes:
manage_user_page.php in Mantis 1.00rc4 and earlier does not properly handle a sort parameter containing a (quote) character, which allows remote attackers to trigger a SQL error that may be repeatedly reported to a user who makes subsequent web accesses with the MANTIS_MANAGE_COOKIE cookie. NOTE: this issue might be the same as vector 2 in CVE-2005-4519.
