A vulnerability was found in Xoops 2.0.16 (Content Management System). It has been rated as critical. This issue affects some unknown processing of the file class/table_broken.php. The manipulation of the argument lid with an unknown input leads to a sql injection vulnerability. Using CWE to declare the problem leads to CWE-89. The product constructs all or part of an SQL command using externally-influenced input from an upstream component, but it does not neutralize or incorrectly neutralizes special elements that could modify the intended SQL command when it is sent to a downstream component. Multiple SQL injection vulnerabilities in Xoops 2.0.16 allow remote attackers to execute arbitrary SQL commands via (1) the id parameter in kernel/group.php in core, (2) the lid parameter in class/table_broken.php in the Weblinks module, and other unspecified vectors.
The weakness was disclosed 02/05/2007 by omid (Website). The advisory is shared at securityfocus.com. The identification of this vulnerability is CVE-2007-0377 since 01/19/2007. The attack may be initiated remotely. No form of authentication is needed for a successful exploitation. Technical details are known, but no exploit is available.
