A vulnerability was found in Nathan Landry N8cms Sitesuite Cms 1.1 (Content Management System) and classified as problematic. This issue affects some unknown functionality of the file index.php. The manipulation of the argument userid with an unknown input leads to a cross site scripting vulnerability. Using CWE to declare the problem leads to CWE-80. The product receives input from an upstream component, but it does not neutralize or incorrectly neutralizes special characters such as "<", ">", and "&" that could be interpreted as web-scripting elements when they are sent to a downstream component that processes web pages. Multiple cross-site scripting (XSS) vulnerabilities in N8cms 1.1 and 1.2 allow remote attackers to inject arbitrary web script or HTML via the (1) dir and (2) page_id parameter to (a) index.php and (3) userid parameter to (b) mailto.php. NOTE: it is possible that issues 1 and 2 are resultant from SQL injection.
The weakness was presented 03/06/2006 by Liz0ziM (Website). It is possible to read the advisory at securityfocus.com. The identification of this vulnerability is CVE-2006-1008 since 03/06/2006. The attack may be initiated remotely. No form of authentication is needed for a successful exploitation. It demands that the victim is doing some kind of user interaction. Technical details of the vulnerability are known, but there is no available exploit. The attack technique deployed by this issue is T1059.007 according to MITRE ATT&CK.
It is declared as highly functional. By approaching the search of inurl:index.php it is possible to find vulnerable targets with Google Hacking.
