A vulnerability classified as problematic was found in Joomla CMS 1.0.7 (Content Management System). This vulnerability affects an unknown code of the file class.inputfilter.php. The cross-site scripting (XSS) countermeasures in class.inputfilter.php in Joomla! 1.0.7 allow remote attackers to cause a denial of service via a crafted mosmsg parameter to index.php with a malformed sequence of multiple tags, as demonstrated using "<<>AAA<><>", possibly due to nested or empty tags.
The weakness was released 02/26/2006 by Foster as not defined posting (Bugtraq). The advisory is available at securityfocus.com. This vulnerability was named CVE-2006-1029 since 03/06/2006. The attack can be initiated remotely. No form of authentication is required for a successful exploitation. Successful exploitation requires user interaction by the victim. Technical details and also a exploit are known. This vulnerability is assigned to T1059.007 by the MITRE ATT&CK project.
