A vulnerability was found in Sauerbraten. It has been rated as critical. This issue affects the function sgetstr of the file shared/cube.h. Buffer overflow in the sgetstr function in shared/cube.h in Sauerbraten 2006_02_28 and earlier, as derived from the Cube engine, allows remote attackers to execute arbitrary code via long streams of input data.
The bug was discovered 03/06/2006. The weakness was disclosed 03/09/2006 by Luigi Auriemma (Website). It is possible to read the advisory at xforce.iss.net.
