CVSS Meta Temp Score
CVSS is a standardized scoring system to determine possibilities of attacks. The Temp Score considers temporal factors like disclosure, exploit and countermeasures. The unique Meta Score calculates the average score of different sources to provide a normalized scoring system.
Current Exploit Price (≈)
Our analysts are monitoring exploit markets and are in contact with vulnerability brokers. The range indicates the observed or calculated exploit price to be seen on exploit markets. A good indicator to understand the monetary effort required for and the popularity of an attack.
CTI Interest Score
Our Cyber Threat Intelligence team is monitoring different web sites, mailing lists, exploit markets and social media networks. The CTI Interest Score identifies the interest of attackers and the security community for this specific vulnerability in real-time. A high score indicates an elevated risk to be targeted for this vulnerability.

Detailsinfo

A vulnerability was found in Iocharger. It has been declared as critical. This vulnerability affects an unknown functionality. The manipulation with an unknown input leads to a path traversal vulnerability. The CWE definition for the vulnerability is CWE-27. The product uses external input to construct a pathname that should be within a restricted directory, but it does not properly neutralize multiple internal "../" sequences that can resolve to a location that is outside of that directory. As an impact it is known to affect confidentiality, integrity, and availability. CVE summarizes:

Patch traversal, External Control of File Name or Path vulnerability in Iocharger Home allows deletion of arbitrary files This issue affects Iocharger firmware for AC model before firmware version 25010801. Likelihood: High, but requires authentication Impact: Critical – The vulnerability can be used to delete any file on the charging station, severely impacting the integrity of the charging station. Furthermore, the vulnerability could be used to delete binaries required for the functioning of the charging station, severely impacting the availability of the charging station. CVSS clarification: Any network interface serving the web ui is vulnerable (AV:N) and there are not additional security measures to circumvent (AC:L), nor does the attack require and existing preconditions (AT:N). The attack is authenticated, but the level of authentication does not matter (PR:L), nor is any user interaction required (UI:N). The attack leads compromised of the integrity and availability of the device (VVC:N/VI:H/VA:H), with no effect on subsequent systems (SC:N/SI:N/SA:N). We do not forsee a safety impact (S:N). This attack can be automated (AU:Y).

The weakness was shared by Wilco Van Beijnum, Harm van den Brink and Frank Breedijk as DIVD-2024-00035. The advisory is available at csirt.divd.nl. This vulnerability was named CVE-2024-43658 since 08/14/2024. The exploitation appears to be easy. Local access is required to approach this attack. Successful exploitation requires user interaction by the victim. The technical details are unknown and an exploit is not available. This vulnerability is assigned to T1006 by the MITRE ATT&CK project.
