The bug was discovered 01/01/2006. The weakness was published 03/08/2006 by FarhadKey and DevilBox (Website). The advisory is available at securityfocus.com. This vulnerability was named CVE-2006-1122 since 03/09/2006. The attack can be initiated remotely. No form of authentication is required for a successful exploitation.
