A vulnerability, which was classified as critical, has been found in Fortinet FortiManager and FortiAnalyzer (version now known). This issue affects some unknown processing of the component HTTP Request Handler. The manipulation with an unknown input leads to a path traversal vulnerability. The product uses external input to construct a pathname that is intended to identify a file or directory that is located underneath a restricted parent directory, but the product does not properly neutralize special elements within the pathname that can cause the pathname to resolve to a location that is outside of the restricted directory. An improper limitation of a pathname to a restricted directory ('path traversal') in Fortinet FortiManager, FortiAnalyzer 7.4.0 through 7.4.3 and 7.2.0 through 7.2.5 and 7.0.2 through 7.0.12 and 6.2.10 through 6.2.13 allows attacker to execute unauthorized code or commands via crafted HTTP or HTTPS requests.
