Details
A vulnerability was found in Greg Neustaetter gCards 1.43/1.44/1.45. It has been classified as critical. Affected is an unknown code of the file inc/setLang.php. The manipulation of the argument lang[*][file] with an unknown input leads to a path traversal vulnerability. CWE is classifying the issue as CWE-22. The product uses external input to construct a pathname that is intended to identify a file or directory that is located underneath a restricted parent directory, but the product does not properly neutralize special elements within the pathname that can cause the pathname to resolve to a location that is outside of the restricted directory. This is going to have an impact on confidentiality, and integrity. CVE summarizes:
Directory traversal vulnerability in inc/setLang.php in Greg Neustaetter gCards 1.45 and earlier allows remote attackers to include and execute arbitrary local files via directory traversal sequences in a lang[*][file] parameter, as demonstrated by injecting PHP sequences into an Apache access_log file, which is then included by index.php.
