Vavoom 1.19.1 and earlier allows remote attackers to cause a denial of service (infinite loop) via (1) a packet with no data or (2) a large packet, which prevents Vavoom from discarding the packet from the socket.
The weakness was released 03/28/2006 by Luigi Auriemma (Website). The advisory is shared for download at vupen.com. This vulnerability was named CVE-2006-1408 since 03/28/2006. The exploitation appears to be easy. The attack can be initiated remotely. No form of authentication is required for a successful exploitation.
