Details
A vulnerability classified as critical has been found in Turnkey Web Tools PHP Live Helper 1.8 (Programming Language Software). This affects some unknown processing of the file initiate.php. The manipulation with an unknown input leads to a path traversal vulnerability (Stored). CWE is classifying the issue as CWE-22. The product uses external input to construct a pathname that is intended to identify a file or directory that is located underneath a restricted parent directory, but the product does not properly neutralize special elements within the pathname that can cause the pathname to resolve to a location that is outside of the restricted directory. This is going to have an impact on confidentiality, integrity, and availability. The summary by CVE is:
Directory traversal vulnerability in (1) initiate.php and (2) possibly other PHP scripts in Turnkey Web Tools PHP Live Helper 1.8, and possibly later versions, allows remote authenticated users to include and execute arbitrary local files via directory traversal sequences in the language cookie, as demonstrated by uploading PHP code in a gl_session cookie to users.php, which causes the code to be stored in error.log, which is then included by initiate.php.
