Details
A vulnerability classified as problematic has been found in yhirose cpp-httplib up to 0.18.3. This affects some unknown processing of the component HTTP Response Handler. The manipulation with an unknown input leads to a response splitting vulnerability. CWE is classifying the issue as CWE-113. The product receives data from an HTTP agent/component (e.g., web server, proxy, browser, etc.), but it does not neutralize or incorrectly neutralizes CR and LF characters before the data is included in outgoing HTTP headers. This is going to have an impact on integrity. The summary by CVE is:
cpp-httplib version v0.17.3 through v0.18.3 fails to filter CRLF characters ("\r\n") when those are prefixed with a null byte. This enables attackers to exploit CRLF injection that could further lead to HTTP Response Splitting, XSS, and more.
