Details
A vulnerability classified as problematic was found in vitest-dev vitest up to 2.1.8/3.0.3. This vulnerability affects the function __screenshot-error. The manipulation with an unknown input leads to a path traversal vulnerability. The CWE definition for the vulnerability is CWE-22. The product uses external input to construct a pathname that is intended to identify a file or directory that is located underneath a restricted parent directory, but the product does not properly neutralize special elements within the pathname that can cause the pathname to resolve to a location that is outside of the restricted directory.
