A vulnerability, which was classified as problematic, has been found in ClamAV (Anti-Malware Software). This issue affects the function cli_bitset_set. The cli_bitset_set function in libclamav/others.c in Clam AntiVirus (ClamAV) before 0.88.1 allows remote attackers to cause a denial of service via unspecified vectors that trigger an "invalid memory access."
The weakness was released 04/05/2006 by David Luyer (Website). It is possible to read the advisory at us-cert.gov. The identification of this vulnerability is CVE-2006-1630. The exploitation is known to be easy. The attack may be initiated remotely. No form of authentication is needed for a successful exploitation.
