A vulnerability was found in Trend Micro ServerProtect 1.3/1.25/2.5 on Linux (Anti-Malware Software) and classified as critical. This issue affects an unknown part. Trend Micro ServerProtect for Linux (SPLX) 1.25, 1.3, and 2.5 before 20070216 allows remote attackers to access arbitrary web pages and reconfigure the product via HTTP requests with the splx_2376_info cookie to the web interface port (14942/tcp).
The weakness was disclosed 02/22/2007 by Damian Put with iDefense (Website). The advisory is shared at labs.idefense.com. The identification of this vulnerability is CVE-2007-1168 since 02/28/2007. The attack needs to be done within the local network. No form of authentication is needed for a successful exploitation. Neither technical details nor an exploit are publicly available. MITRE ATT&CK project uses the attack technique T1068 for this issue.
It is declared as proof-of-concept. We expect the 0-day to have been worth approximately $25k-$100k.
