A vulnerability, which was classified as problematic, has been found in Coppermine Photo Gallery 1.4.4 (Photo Gallery Software). Affected by this issue is an unknown part of the file index.php. The manipulation of the argument file with an unknown input leads to a path traversal vulnerability. Using CWE to declare the problem leads to CWE-22. Directory traversal vulnerability in index.php in Coppermine 1.4.4 allows remote attackers to read arbitrary files via a .//./ (modified dot dot slash) in the file parameter, which causes a regular expression to collapse the sequences into standard "../" sequences.
