CVSS Meta Temp Score
CVSS is a standardized scoring system to determine possibilities of attacks. The Temp Score considers temporal factors like disclosure, exploit and countermeasures. The unique Meta Score calculates the average score of different sources to provide a normalized scoring system.
Current Exploit Price (≈)
Our analysts are monitoring exploit markets and are in contact with vulnerability brokers. The range indicates the observed or calculated exploit price to be seen on exploit markets. A good indicator to understand the monetary effort required for and the popularity of an attack.
CTI Interest Score
Our Cyber Threat Intelligence team is monitoring different web sites, mailing lists, exploit markets and social media networks. The CTI Interest Score identifies the interest of attackers and the security community for this specific vulnerability in real-time. A high score indicates an elevated risk to be targeted for this vulnerability.

Detailsinfo

A vulnerability, which was classified as critical, has been found in Linux Kernel up to 6.1.128/6.6.75/6.12.12/6.13.1. This issue affects the function atomctrl_get_smc_sclk_range_table of the component AMD GPU. The manipulation with an unknown input leads to a null pointer dereference vulnerability. Using CWE to declare the problem leads to CWE-476. A NULL pointer dereference occurs when the application dereferences a pointer that it expects to be valid, but is NULL, typically causing a crash or exit. Impacted is availability. The summary by CVE is:

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: drm/amdgpu: Fix potential NULL pointer dereference in atomctrl_get_smc_sclk_range_table The function atomctrl_get_smc_sclk_range_table() does not check the return value of smu_atom_get_data_table(). If smu_atom_get_data_table() fails to retrieve SMU_Info table, it returns NULL which is later dereferenced. Found by Linux Verification Center (linuxtesting.org) with SVACE. In practice this should never happen as this code only gets called on polaris chips and the vbios data table will always be present on those chips.

The advisory is shared at git.kernel.org. The identification of this vulnerability is CVE-2024-58052 since 03/06/2025. Technical details are known, but no exploit is available.

The vulnerability scanner Nessus provides a plugin with the ID 232259 (Linux Distros Unpatched Vulnerability : CVE-2024-58052), which helps to determine the existence of the flaw in a target environment.

Upgrading to version 6.1.129, 6.6.76, 6.12.13, 6.13.2 or 6.14-rc1 eliminates this vulnerability. Applying the patch ae522ad211ec4b72eaf742b25f24b0a406afcba1/6a30634a2e0f1dd3c6b39fd0f114c32893a9907a/0b97cd8a61b2b40fd73cf92a4bb2256462d22adb/396350adf0e5ad4bf05f01e4d79bfb82f0f6c41a/357445e28ff004d7f10967aa93ddb4bffa5c3688 is able to eliminate this problem. The bugfix is ready for download at git.kernel.org. The best possible mitigation is suggested to be upgrading to the latest version.

The vulnerability is also documented in the databases at Tenable (232259) and CERT Bund (WID-SEC-2025-1439). If you want to get the best quality for vulnerability data then you always have to consider VulDB.
