Kibana is affected by the Chromium vulnerability CVE-2025-2135, disclosed by Google on March 10, 2025. This bug involves a Type Confusion issue that may lead to heap corruption via crafted HTML pages.

Affected Versions:
- Kibana up to and including 7.17.28
- 8.0.0 to 8.17.7
- 8.18.0 to 8.18.2
- 9.0.0 to 9.0.2

Conditions:
Only instances using PDF or PNG report generation (via Chromium) are impacted. This includes self-hosted and Elastic Cloud deployments. CSV export and serverless Kibana projects are not affected.

Mitigations:
Upgrade to Kibana 7.17.29, 8.17.8, 8.18.3, or 9.0.3. Alternatively, disable the reporting feature or restrict access to trusted accounts.
