A vulnerability was found in 321soft PhP-Gallery 0.9 (Photo Gallery Software). It has been rated as problematic. Affected by this issue is an unknown part of the file index.php. The manipulation of the argument path with an unknown input leads to a cross site scripting vulnerability. Using CWE to declare the problem leads to CWE-80. The product receives input from an upstream component, but it does not neutralize or incorrectly neutralizes special characters such as "<", ">", and "&" that could be interpreted as web-scripting elements when they are sent to a downstream component that processes web pages. Cross-site scripting (XSS) vulnerability in index.php in 321soft PhP-Gallery 0.9 allows remote attackers to inject arbitrary web script or HTML via the path parameter. NOTE: this issue might be resultant from the directory traversal vulnerability.
The bug was discovered 05/02/2006. The weakness was presented 05/05/2006 by d4igoro (Website). The advisory is shared for download at vupen.com.
