The product receives input from an upstream component, but it does not neutralize or incorrectly neutralizes special characters such as "<", ">", and "&" that could be interpreted as web-scripting elements when they are sent to a downstream component that processes web pages. Cross-site scripting (XSS) vulnerability in Logon.asp in MaxxSchedule 1.0 allows remote attackers to inject arbitrary web script or HTML via the Error parameter.
The weakness was presented 05/08/2006 by Dj_Eyes (Website). The advisory is shared at vupen.com. The identification of this vulnerability is CVE-2006-2258 since 05/08/2006. The exploitation is known to be difficult. The attack may be initiated remotely. No form of authentication is needed for a successful exploitation.
