Details
A vulnerability was found in yeswiki up to 4.5.1 and classified as critical. This issue affects an unknown code block. The manipulation of the argument squelette with an unknown input leads to a path traversal vulnerability. Using CWE to declare the problem leads to CWE-22. The product uses external input to construct a pathname that is intended to identify a file or directory that is located underneath a restricted parent directory, but the product does not properly neutralize special elements within the pathname that can cause the pathname to resolve to a location that is outside of the restricted directory. Impacted is confidentiality. The summary by CVE is:
YesWiki is a wiki system written in PHP. The squelette parameter is vulnerable to path traversal attacks, enabling read access to arbitrary files on the server. This vulnerability is fixed in 4.5.2.
