A vulnerability was found in Cosmoshop 8.10.78/8.11.106. It has been rated as critical. This issue affects an unknown functionality of the file edit_mailtexte.cgi. The manipulation of the argument file with an unknown input leads to a path traversal vulnerability. Using CWE to declare the problem leads to CWE-22. The product uses external input to construct a pathname that is intended to identify a file or directory that is located underneath a restricted parent directory, but the product does not properly neutralize special elements within the pathname that can cause the pathname to resolve to a location that is outside of the restricted directory. Directory traversal vulnerability in (1) edit_mailtexte.cgi and (2) bestmail.cgi in Cosmoshop 8.11.106 and earlier allows remote administrators to read arbitrary files via ".." sequences in the file parameter.
