A vulnerability was found in Linux Kernel up to 6.1.131/6.6.84/6.12.20/6.13.8. It has been declared as problematic. This vulnerability affects the function xp_create_and_assign_umem. The manipulation of the argument chunk_size with an unknown input leads to a integer overflow vulnerability. The CWE definition for the vulnerability is CWE-190. In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: xsk: fix an integer overflow in xp_create_and_assign_umem() Since the i and pool->chunk_size variables are of type 'u32', their product can wrap around and then be cast to 'u64'. This can lead to two different XDP buffers pointing to the same memory area. Found by InfoTeCS on behalf of Linux Verification Center (linuxtesting.org) with SVACE.

The bugfix is ready for download at git.kernel.org. The best possible mitigation is suggested to be upgrading to the latest version.
