A vulnerability was found in Greg Donald Destiney Links Script 2.1.2. It has been classified as problematic. Affected is some unknown processing of the file index.php. Cross-site scripting (XSS) vulnerability in Destiney Links Script 2.1.2 allows remote attackers to inject arbitrary web script or HTML via the (1) "Search" (term parameter in index.php) and (2) "Add a Site" (add.php) fields.
The weakness was disclosed 05/22/2006 by luny (Website). The advisory is shared for download at securityfocus.com. This vulnerability is traded as CVE-2006-2536 since 05/22/2006. It is possible to launch the attack remotely. The exploitation doesn't require any form of authentication. Successful exploitation requires user interaction by the victim. There are known technical details, but no exploit is available. The MITRE ATT&CK project declares the attack technique as T1059.007.
It is declared as proof-of-concept. By approaching the search of inurl:index.php it is possible to find vulnerable targets with Google Hacking.
