A vulnerability was found in AlstraSoft E-Friends 4.0. It has been rated as problematic. This issue affects an unknown function of the file index.php. The manipulation with an unknown input leads to a cross site scripting vulnerability. Using CWE to declare the problem leads to CWE-80. The product receives input from an upstream component, but it does not neutralize or incorrectly neutralizes special characters such as "<", ">", and "&" that could be interpreted as web-scripting elements when they are sent to a downstream component that processes web pages. Multiple cross-site scripting (XSS) vulnerabilities in index.php in AlstraSoft E-Friends allow remote attackers to inject arbitrary web script or HTML by (1) posting a blog, (2) posting a listing, (3) posting an event, (4) adding comments, or (5) sending a message.

The attack may be initiated remotely. No form of authentication is needed for a successful exploitation. It demands that the victim is doing some kind of user interaction.
