Multiple cross-site scripting (XSS) vulnerabilities in (a) search.php, (b) search_cat.php, (c) search_price.php, and (d) product_details.php in the cosmicshop directory for CosmicShoppingCart allow remote attackers to inject arbitrary web script or HTML via multiple unspecified parameters, as demonstrated by the (1) query parameter in search.php and the (2) data parameter in search_cat.php.

The bug was discovered 02/16/2006. The weakness was disclosed 05/25/2006 by Vympel (Marcelo Almeida) (Website). The advisory is shared for download at archives.neohapsis.com. This vulnerability was named CVE-2006-2649 since 05/30/2006. The attack can be initiated remotely. No form of authentication is required for a successful exploitation. Successful exploitation requires user interaction by the victim. There are known technical details, but no exploit is available. The MITRE ATT&CK project declares the attack technique as T1059.007.
