A vulnerability, which was classified as problematic, has been found in Picklescan up to 0.0.24. Affected by this issue is the function ssl.get_server_certificate of the component DNS Handler. The manipulation with an unknown input leads to a incomplete blacklist vulnerability. Using CWE to declare the problem leads to CWE-184. The unsafe globals in Picklescan before 0.0.25 do not include ssl. Consequently, ssl.get_server_certificate can exfiltrate data via DNS after deserialization.
