Details
A vulnerability, which was classified as problematic, has been found in Linux Kernel up to 6.14.2. Affected by this issue is an unknown code of the component dwc_pcie. Using CWE to declare the problem leads to CWE-704. The product does not correctly convert an object, resource, or structure from one type to a different type. The impact remains unknown. CVE summarizes:
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: perf/dwc_pcie: fix duplicate pci_dev devices During platform_device_register, wrongly using struct device pci_dev as platform_data caused a kmemdup copy of pci_dev. Worse still, accessing the duplicated device leads to list corruption as its mutex content (e.g., list, magic) remains the same as the original.
The advisory is shared for download at git.kernel.org. This vulnerability is handled as CVE-2025-37746 since 04/16/2025. There are neither technical details nor an exploit publicly available. The current price for an exploit might be approx. USD $0-$5k (estimation calculated on 03/15/2026).
