Multiple cross-site scripting (XSS) vulnerabilities submit.asp in ASPScriptz Guest Book 2.0 and earlier allow remote attackers to inject arbitrary web script or HTML via the (1) GBOOK_UNAME, (2) GBOOK_EMAIL, (3) GBOOK_CITY, (4) GBOOK_COU, (5) GBOOK_WWW, and (6) GBOOK_MESS form fields.
The weakness was disclosed 06/07/2006 by omnipresent (Website). The advisory is shared at vupen.com. This vulnerability is known as CVE-2006-2882 since 06/07/2006. The attack can be launched remotely. The exploitation doesn't need any form of authentication. It demands that the victim is doing some kind of user interaction. Technical details are known, but no exploit is available. MITRE ATT&CK project uses the attack technique T1059.007 for this issue.
It is declared as proof-of-concept. By approaching the search of inurl:submit.asp it is possible to find vulnerable targets with Google Hacking.
