A-CART 2.0 stores the acart2_0.mdb file under the web document root with insufficient access control, which allows remote attackers to obtain username and password information.
The weakness was disclosed 06/12/2006 (Website). The advisory is shared at vupen.com. The identification of this vulnerability is CVE-2006-2948 since 06/12/2006. The exploitation is known to be easy. The attack may be initiated remotely. No form of authentication is needed for a successful exploitation. Neither technical details nor an exploit are publicly available.
