A vulnerability has been found in iPostMX 2005 up to 2.0 and classified as critical. Affected by this vulnerability is some unknown processing of the file messagepost.cfm. The manipulation of the argument topic with an unknown input leads to a sql injection vulnerability. The CWE definition for the vulnerability is CWE-89. The product constructs all or part of an SQL command using externally-influenced input from an upstream component, but it does not neutralize or incorrectly neutralizes special elements that could modify the intended SQL command when it is sent to a downstream component. Multiple SQL injection vulnerabilities in iPostMX 2005 2.0 and earlier allow remote attackers to execute arbitrary SQL commands via the (1) forum parameter in messagepost.cfm and (2) topic parameter in topics.cfm. NOTE: this item was created based on information in a blog entry that was apparently removed after CVE analysis. As of 20060619, CVE is attempting to determing the cause of the removal.

The exploitation appears to be easy. The attack can be launched remotely. The exploitation doesn't need any form of authentication.
