Race condition in articles/BitArticle.php in Bitweaver 1.3, when run on Apache with the mod_mime extension, allows remote attackers to execute arbitrary PHP code by uploading arbitrary files with double extensions, which are stored for a small period of time under the webroot in the temp/articles directory.

The weakness was disclosed 06/16/2006 by rgod (Website). It is possible to read the advisory at secunia.com. The identification of this vulnerability is CVE-2006-3102 since 06/20/2006. The exploitation is known to be difficult. The attack may be initiated remotely. No form of authentication is needed for a successful exploitation. Technical details as well as a public exploit are known.
