A vulnerability, which was classified as critical, has been found in eCharge Hardy Barth cPH2 Charging Station and cPP2 Charging Station up to 2.2.0. Affected by this issue is some unknown processing of the file /var/salia/mqtt.php of the component MQTT Message Handler. Several OS command injection vulnerabilities exist in the device firmware in the /var/salia/mqtt.php script. By publishing a specially crafted message to a certain MQTT topic arbitrary OS commands can be executed with root permissions.
The weakness was shared by Stefan Viehböck. This vulnerability is handled as CVE-2025-27804 since 03/07/2025. The exploitation is known to be easy.
