The bug was discovered 05/26/2006. The weakness was published 06/29/2006 by Sven Krewitt with Secunia Research (Website). The advisory is available at secunia.com. This vulnerability was named CVE-2006-3116 since 06/21/2006. The exploitation appears to be difficult. The attack can be initiated remotely. No form of authentication is required for a successful exploitation. Technical details are known, but there is no available exploit.
