A vulnerability was found in Spiffyjr phpRaid 3.0.6. It has been classified as critical. Affected is an unknown code block of the file announcements.php. PHP remote file inclusion vulnerability in phpRaid 3.0.6 allows remote attackers to execute arbitrary code via a URL in the phpraid_dir parameter to (1) announcements.php and (2) rss.php, a different set of vectors and affected versions than CVE-2006-3316 and CVE-2006-3116.
The bug was discovered 05/26/2006. The weakness was disclosed 06/29/2006 by Sven Krewitt (Website). The advisory is shared for download at vupen.com. This vulnerability is traded as CVE-2006-3317 since 06/29/2006. The exploitability is told to be difficult. It is possible to launch the attack remotely. The exploitation doesn't require any form of authentication. Technical details and a public exploit are known.
A public exploit has been developed by Cold Zero in Perl and been published 10 months after the advisory. The exploit is shared for download at securityfocus.com. It is declared as proof-of-concept. By approaching the search of inurl:announcements.php it is possible to find vulnerable targets with Google Hacking.
