A vulnerability, which was classified as critical, has been found in Linux Kernel up to 5.19.3. This issue affects the function bitmap_zalloc of the component cxl. The manipulation with an unknown input leads to a memory leak vulnerability. Using CWE to declare the problem leads to CWE-401. In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: cxl: Fix a memory leak in an error handling path A bitmap_zalloc() must be balanced by a corresponding bitmap_free() in the error handling path of afu_allocate_irqs().

The bugfix is ready for download at git.kernel.org. The best possible mitigation is suggested to be upgrading to the latest version.
