The weakness was presented 07/17/2006 by Ilja van Sprundel (Website). The advisory is available at wireshark.org. This vulnerability was named CVE-2006-3628 since 07/17/2006. The exploitation appears to be easy. The attack can be initiated remotely. No form of authentication is required for a successful exploitation. The technical details are unknown and an exploit is not available.

It is declared as proof-of-concept.
