Details
A vulnerability was found in DataEase up to 2.10.10. It has been classified as critical. Affected is some unknown processing. The manipulation of the argument socketfactory/socketfactoryarg/sslfactory/sslfactoryarg with an unknown input leads to a substitution character vulnerability. CWE is classifying the issue as CWE-153. The product receives input from an upstream component, but it does not neutralize or incorrectly neutralizes special elements that could be interpreted as substitution characters when they are sent to a downstream component. DataEase is an open source business intelligence and data visualization tool. Prior to version 2.10.11, in both PostgreSQL and Redshift, apart from parameters like "socketfactory" and "socketfactoryarg", there are also "sslfactory" and "sslfactoryarg" with similar functionality. The difference lies in that "sslfactory" and related parameters need to be triggered after establishing the connection. Other similar parameters include "sslhostnameverifier", "sslpasswordcallback", and "authenticationPluginClassName". This issue has been patched in 2.10.11.
