A vulnerability was found in Endress+Hauser MEAC300-FNADE4 up to 0.16.0 and classified as problematic. This issue affects an unknown code block of the component HTTP Connection Handler. The manipulation with an unknown input leads to a missing secure attribute vulnerability. Using CWE to declare the problem leads to CWE-614. The Secure attribute for sensitive cookies in HTTPS sessions is not set, which could cause the user agent to send those cookies in plaintext over an HTTP session. Impacted is confidentiality. The Secure attribute is missing on multiple cookies provided by the MEAC300-FNADE4. An attacker can trick a user to establish an unencrypted HTTP connection to the server and intercept the request containing the PHPSESSID cookie.
The identification of this vulnerability is CVE-2025-27450 since 02/26/2025. The exploitation is known to be difficult. The attack may be initiated remotely. No form of authentication is needed for a successful exploitation. Neither technical details nor an exploit are publicly available.
