The web container in IBM WebSphere Application Server (WAS) before 6.0.2.21, and 6.1.x before 6.1.0.9, sends response data intended for a different request in certain circumstances after a closed connection error, which might allow remote attackers to obtain sensitive information.
The bug was discovered 06/06/2007. The weakness was presented 06/25/2007 with IBM (Website). The advisory is shared for download at www-1.ibm.com. This vulnerability was named CVE-2007-3397 since 06/26/2007. The attack can be initiated remotely. No form of authentication is required for a successful exploitation.
