Details
A vulnerability classified as critical has been found in SimStudioAI sim up to 0.1.17. Affected is the function handleLocalFile of the file apps/sim/app/api/files/parse/route.ts. The manipulation of the argument filePath with an unknown input leads to a path traversal vulnerability. CWE is classifying the issue as CWE-22. The product uses external input to construct a pathname that is intended to identify a file or directory that is located underneath a restricted parent directory, but the product does not properly neutralize special elements within the pathname that can cause the pathname to resolve to a location that is outside of the restricted directory.
