Details
A vulnerability has been found in Apache Tomcat up to 9.0.106 and classified as problematic. Affected by this vulnerability is an unknown part of the component APR Native Connector. The manipulation with an unknown input leads to a race condition vulnerability. The CWE definition for the vulnerability is CWE-362. The product contains a code sequence that can run concurrently with other code, and the code sequence requires temporary, exclusive access to a shared resource, but a timing window exists in which the shared resource can be modified by another code sequence that is operating concurrently. As an impact it is known to affect confidentiality, integrity, and availability. The summary by CVE is:
Concurrent Execution using Shared Resource with Improper Synchronization ('Race Condition') vulnerability in Apache Tomcat when using the APR/Native connector. This was particularly noticeable with client initiated closes of HTTP/2 connections. This issue affects Apache Tomcat: from 9.0.0.M1 through 9.0.106. Users are recommended to upgrade to version 9.0.107, which fixes the issue.
