Details
A vulnerability, which was classified as critical, was found in WePresent WiPG-1000. Affected is an unknown code block of the file /cgi-bin/rdfs.cgi. The manipulation of the argument Client with an unknown input leads to a os command injection vulnerability. CWE is classifying the issue as CWE-78. The product constructs all or part of an OS command using externally-influenced input from an upstream component, but it does not neutralize or incorrectly neutralizes special elements that could modify the intended OS command when it is sent to a downstream component. This is going to have an impact on confidentiality, integrity, and availability. CVE summarizes:
An unauthenticated command injection vulnerability exists in WePresent WiPG-1000 firmware versions prior to 2.2.3.0, due to improper input handling in the undocumented /cgi-bin/rdfs.cgi endpoint. The Client parameter is not sanitized before being passed to a system call, allowing an unauthenticated remote attacker to execute arbitrary commands as the web server user.
The weakness was presented by Matthias Brun. The advisory is available at redguard.ch. This vulnerability is traded as CVE-2025-34103 since 04/15/2025. The exploitability is told to be easy.
