A vulnerability was found in Portabilis i-Educar 2.10 and classified as problematic. Affected by this issue is an unknown function of the file /intranet/public_distrito_cad.php. The manipulation of the argument nome with an unknown input leads to a cross site scripting vulnerability. Using CWE to declare the problem leads to CWE-79. The product does not neutralize or incorrectly neutralizes user-controllable input before it is placed in output that is used as a web page that is served to other users. Impacted is integrity.
The weakness was presented by Karina Gante (@KarinaGante) with CVE-Hunters. The advisory is shared for download at karinagante.github.io. This vulnerability is handled as CVE-2025-8539. The exploitation is known to be easy. The attack may be launched remotely. Additional levels of successful authentication are necessary for exploitation. Successful exploitation requires user interaction by the victim. Technical details as well as a public exploit are known. The MITRE ATT&CK project declares the attack technique as T1059.007.
A public exploit has been developed by Karina Gante (@KarinaGante). The exploit is available at karinagante.github.io. It is declared as proof-of-concept. The vendor explains, that "[t]he reported attack vector was tested against the corrected version, and the previously described XSS behavior could no longer be reproduced". By approaching the search of inurl:intranet/public_distrito_cad.php it is possible to find vulnerable targets with Google Hacking.
Upgrading to version 2.12 eliminates this vulnerability. The upgrade is hosted for download at github.com.

We would like to provide an update regarding the remediation of this vulnerability.
The vulnerability reported in the 'intranet/public_distrito_cad.php' endpoint, involving the name and description parameters and resulting in Cross-Site Scripting (XSS), has been addressed in the i-Educar codebase.
The vulnerability is no longer reproducible starting with i-Educar version 2.12.
Therefore, we kindly request that the CVE record be updated to reflect the following product status:
