A vulnerability, which was classified as critical, has been found in Devellion CubeCart up to 3.0.11 (E-Commerce Management Software). This issue affects an unknown code of the file admin/filemanager/preview.php. The manipulation of the argument email with an unknown input leads to a cross site scripting vulnerability. Using CWE to declare the problem leads to CWE-80. The product receives input from an upstream component, but it does not neutralize or incorrectly neutralizes special characters such as "<", ">", and "&" that could be interpreted as web-scripting elements when they are sent to a downstream component that processes web pages. Impacted is confidentiality, integrity, and availability. The summary by CVE is:

Multiple cross-site scripting (XSS) vulnerabilities in CubeCart 3.0.11 and earlier allow remote attackers to inject arbitrary web script or HTML via the (1) file, (2) x, and (3) y parameters in (a) admin/filemanager/preview.php; and the (4) email parameter in (b) admin/login.php.

The weakness was shared 08/17/2006 by rgod (Website). The advisory is shared at secunia.com. The identification of this vulnerability is CVE-2006-4268 since 08/21/2006. The attack may be initiated remotely. No form of authentication is needed for a successful exploitation. It demands that the victim is doing some kind of user interaction. Technical details as well as a public exploit are known. MITRE ATT&CK project uses the attack technique T1059.007 for this issue.
