A vulnerability was found in F5 BIG-IP up to 15.1.10/16.1.5/17.1.2 and classified as problematic. This issue affects some unknown functionality of the component Client SSL Profile Handler. When a BIG-IP LTM Client SSL profile is configured on a virtual server with SSL Forward Proxy enabled and Anonymous Diffie-Hellman (ADH) ciphers enabled, undisclosed requests can cause the Traffic Management Microkernel (TMM) to terminate. Note: Software versions which have reached End of Technical Support (EoTS) are not evaluated.
The advisory is shared at my.f5.com. The identification of this vulnerability is CVE-2025-52585. The exploitation is known to be difficult. The attack may be initiated remotely. No form of authentication is needed for a successful exploitation. Neither technical details nor an exploit are publicly available.
